Message # 037: Based on alI the feedback I got, my last E-ssential Message really seems to have struck a chord with people. First I received this comment from an accomplished actor:
Then I got this email from a very talented graphic designer who is a partner in a creative boutique:
Yes, it's hard to shake deeply rooted cultural traditions and ethics. But does that mean you have to go to the other extreme and become just like the blatantly self-promoting, pop business icons that fill our media? No. Your Essential Message isn't about being a little too full of yourself. A big part of your Essential Message is about, however, being so grounded in your own, geniune accomplishments and abilities that you instantly see where and when they meet the needs of your prospects and clients. Only then can you talk about them naturally, confidently and -- yes -- shamelessly. The question is, when are you going to start?
