Message # 039: Imagine that you're with a person who has great passion, but no skill. Of course, the encounter may be awkward and perhaps a bit frustrating, but chances are you'd be prepared to give the person the benefit of the doubt, at least for a little while. If the person displays great skill but no passion, how would you feel? Used, perhaps? Like he or she were in it for the money? At best, the encounter would likely feel mechanical and not truly fulfilling. Of course, if the person has neither skill nor passion, it's probably safe to say there's little to make you want to stay in the relationship. Now consider for a moment that the person has both wonderful passion and great skill. Does that sound like the kind of person that you'd like to be with? Of course it does. But am I talking about someone you are in an intimate relationship with or am I referring to the person you're thinking of doing business with? The truth is, it applies to both. Remember that no amount of technique can mask a lack of passion. Are you letting the passion that you have for your business -- and how it can 'fully satisfy' the other person -- show?
